Viqua UVMax systems are a simple to install and operate point-of-use UV disinfection system for your water supply. Popular for most residential applications, RV's, Boats. Available in a range of flow rates from 3-45 GPM. No-tools maintenance and only consumes a max power equal to 2ea 60 watt light bulbs on the E4 and F4 models.
Quick Search: Sediment Filters | Solenoids | Flow Restrictors | Temperature Management | COMMcenter |Silt or sediment larger then 5 micron can create a breeding ground for bacteria to sneak past your UV and contaminate your water. All UV systems should use no larger then 5 micron nominal filters to remove larger sediment from the water that could cause problems for your UV. Smaller sizes are available for people with silt or high turbidity.
Solenoid valves are an important add on for any UV system. If you lose power or your lamp fails, you have no way to protect your water from bacteria getting in. With a solenoid, you get that protection! If the system were to stop working due to the lamp needing replacement or water quality, even power loss, this solenoid will shut and prevent untreated water from getting past the UV.
For use with older UV models previous to 2009
Flow restrictors are a great additional for any application that requires an exact flow rate to ensure a desired level of disinfection. With a flow restrictor in place you will limit the maximum flow through the UV to the desired rate, keeping your dosage at the desired level. These can be added to any UV system to ensure you never flow too much water through the system that could compromise the quality of your water. Pro models come pre-equipped with this and do not require it to be added.
As with any light bulb used, heat is produced. When you use a UV light to disinfect your water, it can heat the water making your cold water warmer and may interfere with Plus model systems that have UV sensors. Adding a temperature management system or "CoolTouch" to your UV will significantly reduce the water temperature. All Pro series systems come with a CoolTouch already installed.
Whether you are a testing lab or a business who needs to monitor the dosage in your water at any moment, the remote alarm COMMcenter is the product for you. This powerful tool will allow you monitor dosage, choose flow rate to monitor non-nsf units, computer tracking and much more.
