Scale Prevention
Scale prevention is the primary and biggest benefit this system provides. Scale also is the primary reason why consumers consider appliances like a water softener. Water Spotting
Water spotting occurs when dissolved solids in the water precipitate when the water evaporates on a surface like a sink or faucet. With untreated water the water spots firmly attach themselves to the surface and in many cases even etch into the surface of your faucet or counter-top requiring harsh chemicals and scrubbing to remove.

When treated with the Pelican NaturSoft, water spots don't have the same properties as spots produced by untreated water. As a droplet of water settles on the sink surface, the CO2 gases off resulting in a state of super saturation. Due to the presence of the micro crystal (seed crystals) produced by the NaturSoft system, the seed crystals serve as the nucleus, a preferred precipitation site for the minerals coming out of solution. Therefore, most of the precipitation does not involve precipitation onto the sink or faucet surface where the minerals contained in the water would ordinarily firmly attach themselves resulting in water spot that are difficult to remove.
Soaps and Detergents
Bar soaps and detergents are things we use everyday and would all love to use less of if possible. When you have water that is very hard, bar soaps have a difficult time lathering and can create soap scum in your showers. Depending on their formulations, laundry detergents also have the same issue lathering in very hard water and result in soap that is not dissolved completely and then does not effectively clean your clothing. Potent chemicals like sequesters and surfactants are added. Those added chemicals in the soaps or detergents in turn are neither good for the environment, nor your skin.
